Rental Policies & Renter Responsibilities

Clear, No‑Surprises Rental Policies

We want your rental experience to be simple, safe, and hassle‑free. The points below summarize your main responsibilities when renting equipment from Apex Equipment Rentals Ltd. These are written in plain language so you know exactly what is expected once the equipment is in your possession.

Renter Responsibilities

1. Care, Damage & Cleaning

You are fully responsible for the rented equipment and all accessories from the moment it leaves our yard until it is returned during business hours. You must use the equipment properly and safely. You must pay for all loss, damage, or mechanical repairs caused by abuse, misuse, or negligence. If the equipment is returned dirty, a cleaning fee will be charged.

2. Reporting Damage, Accidents & Theft

You must tell us about any damage that occurs during your rental period. If we find damage during our return inspection that you did not report (or did not know about), we will:

  • Notify you of what we found, and
  • Tell you the charges before we run your credit card.

If there is an accident or theft, you must:

  • Report it to the police, and
  • Complete a written report within 24 hours.
3. Where & How the Equipment May Be Used

You may not use the equipment:

  • If the operator’s ability is impaired by alcohol, drugs, or fatigue.
  • Outside of Alberta without our written consent.
  • In any race, contest, or similar event.
  • In violation of any law.
4. Loss of Use Charges

If the equipment is damaged and cannot be rented out, you agree to pay an amount equal to the daily rental rate for each day it is unavailable, while repairs are being made.

5. Payments & Fines

You are responsible for all rental charges. If a third party you listed to pay does not pay, you must pay the full amount on demand. You must pay all traffic and parking tickets or fines issued during your rental, plus a 10% administration fee on those fines (where applicable).

6. Repossession

Apex Equipment Rentals Ltd. may end the rental and repossess the equipment at any time and place if terms are violated.

7. Personal Property

Apex Equipment Rentals Ltd. is not responsible for loss or damage to any personal property left in, on, or with the rented equipment.
